AMNESIS GALLERY: First identified and advocated by Bolivian poet and art theorist Dr. Nicomedes Suárez-Araúz in 1973, Amnesis is a theoretical and aesthetic concept evident, apparent, or present within all forms of artistic creativity. Amnesis’s basic aesthetic tenets assert that works-of-art are sublime fabulations (or fictions) prompted or generated by means of irretrievable and unfathomable lacuna in memory. Throughout his imagery, Rodeiro suggests, invokes, or utilizes Amnesis via striking push-pull effects, or by enlisting or manipulating either explicit or diverse things, beings, colors and/or items that metaphysically inhabit distinctive and elaborate visual-artistic compositions. The best way, to further study and comprehend Amnesis theory’s intrinsic relationship to art and creativity, is to research The Amnesis Manifesto and its author (Dr. Nicomedes Suárez-Araúz) online, in libraries, or in bookstores.
