José Rodeiro Confrontation, amazar-materials, 48” x 36” c. 1986 (Collection of the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Hagerstown, Maryland).
This dream-like amazar depicts a “make-believe” disagreement between an imaginary Lady Di-esque being and an imaginary David Bowie-esque being, who are energetically conversing on the merits of certain mysterious aesthetic values, pertaining to Rock-&-Roll music. The three graces are depicted behind Bowie’s shoulder. Ms Jean Woods (Director, Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Hagerstown, MD) acquired this remarkable amazar for that museum’s celebrated collection. |
