Castle Pop was Rodeiro’s first amazar, a multimedia technique that kneads material by means of Mallarméan/Duchampian chance-operations. Castle Pop refers to the two women (in the amazar) sporting the hair-style of Irene Castle (the famous US ballroom dancer), as well as the erotic erect medieval castle turret within the composition.
